Is the MCU Going Through Villain Fatigue, or Is Something Else at Play?

<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Marvel cinematic universe</strong>&nbsp;has set the bar high, maybe too high, and possibly to its detriment.</p> <p>It all began on May 2nd, 2008 when a B list or some would even argue a C list comic book character hit the big screen for the first time; his name was&nbsp;<strong>Iron Man</strong>. Played by the brilliant&nbsp;<strong>Robert Downey Jr</strong>., it was as if he was destined for this role.</p> <p>A post-credit scene plays with a cameo from Nick Fury, played by one BAMF Samuel L Jackson (another perfect casting), who mentions the &ldquo;Avengers Initiative,&rdquo; the rest is history.</p> <p><iframe frameborder="0" height="480" scrolling="no" src="https://cdn.embedly.com/widgets/media.html?src=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fembed%2F6R0ILHqNR4c%3Ffeature%3Doembed&amp;display_name=YouTube&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D6R0ILHqNR4c&amp;image=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2F6R0ILHqNR4c%2Fhqdefault.jpg&amp;key=a19fcc184b9711e1b4764040d3dc5c07&amp;type=text%2Fhtml&amp;schema=youtube" title="Iron Man Post-Credit Scene // Nick Fury Cameo | Iron Man [Open Matte/IMAX 4K]" width="854"></iframe></p> <p>Childhood dreams coming true (Paramount Pictures)</p> <p>After thirty-two films and an action-packed Infinity Saga, the MCU is now at a crossroads.</p> <p>The Infinity Saga lasted just a little over a decade and had many great villains like&nbsp;<strong>Killmonger, Loki, Red Skull, Ultron, Ego the Living Planet, Baron Zemo, Klaw,</strong>&nbsp;and many others we&rsquo;re sure we missed. Still, they were just small fry. The main boss, the big baddy, was none other than The Mad Titan himself,<strong>&nbsp;Thanos (Josh Brolin)</strong>, a villain obsessed with keeping everything&nbsp;<em>&ldquo;perfectly balanced, as all things should be.&rdquo;</em></p> <p><a href="https://talesbeyondtomorrow.medium.com/is-the-mcu-going-through-villain-fatigue-or-is-something-else-at-play-42a1bc5dc864"><strong>Visit Now</strong></a></p>
