Is the MCU Going Through Villain Fatigue, or Is Something Else at Play?

The Marvel cinematic universe has set the bar high, maybe too high, and possibly to its detriment. It all began on May 2nd, 2008 when a B list or some would even argue a C list comic book character hit the big screen for the first time; his name was Iron Man.
