A Perfect (Vegan) Weekend in Mexico City
<p>Eating in Mexico City is a glorious assault on the senses. Every morning, taqueros on bicycles carrying baskets of steamed <em>tacos de canasta</em>, filled with mashed potato and frijoles, roam the busy streets. Later, students, office workers in suits, laborers and families cram around tiny food stands with a plate of tacos balancing on top of a cup of horchata in one hand, leaving the other free to eat with. There’s always at least three salsas on the counter (all spicy), plus fresh onion, limes and cilantro to sprinkle on top. The Mexican motto: <em>Uno más, por favor</em>.</p>
