US Embassy in Tel Aviv to Resume Processing of E-1 and E-2 Company Registration and Visa Applications for the First Time Since March 2020

The US Embassy Tel Aviv Branch has confirmed that it is now accepting E-1 and E-2 company registration applications. Individual E visa applicants whose companies have already been approved may request an expedited appointment through the Embassy’s scheduling system. Due to limited operations, interviews for individual applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

While the US Embassy is still closed to routine visa services, this is welcome news to Israeli business owners and investors looking to relocate key employees to work in the United States. The Embassy has not accepted applications for E-1 and E-2 company registrations and renewals since March 2020, when routine visa services were first suspended worldwide following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
