You should bring it to a Rinzai teacher.&rdquo;</p> <p>So I brought this book to a Rinzai teacher.&rdquo; who told me, &ldquo;This does not sound anything like Rinzai&rdquo;. Clearly, you have no understanding of Rinzai Zen teachings.&rdquo; She said &ldquo;It sounds more like the Western simplistic &lsquo;Beginner&rsquo;s Mind&rsquo; approach to Zen. You should go home and meditate more before writing a book about Zen.
