My last full-blown article was about celebrating the delight of continuous warmth outside — well, the celebration of Vancouver’s 17-day-long outrightly sunny weather pattern came to a climactic conclusion during the weekend as the hot climatic conditions feathered away & transliterated into cold and rain droplets Friday evening, 9th June 2023, through Saturday morning.
Arriving at Mercer Park Stadium in New Westminster, Vancouver, 12 hours into the weekend, my football plans came to a temporary halt as I had to bide my time whilst the rain fell, lightly but relentlessly. On the televised scene, Manchester United did not impress me enough this season, but apart from that, I am also a passionate partaker of football or as it’s called in Northern America, ‘Soccer’, so I play three to five times a week if I can. I also play basketball and ping-pong, but football gives me the most joy.
