My Privilege Under Scrutiny
<p>He knows nothing about how and what I feel. That person who called me on my privilege a few years ago.</p>
<p>He was posting a string of videos of police brutality on his Facebook page. It was around the time of George Floyd’s death and there was an awakening that was necessary about racism and about policing.</p>
<p>When I removed myself from Facebook for a period of time he told me I was showing my privilege. I should be watching every single video that he and everyone else posted that displayed violence by the police specifically those actions that were taken against the BIPOC community.</p>
