Walking St Michael’s Way — the UK’s Section of the Camino de Santiago

A few month’s ago I took a few weeks out of the real world to walk the Camino de Santiago. It’s pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain in honour of St. James. Though I may not be religious I would identify as spiritual. I didn’t walk the Camino for God or in search of myself. I walked it with the hope to learn something new about myself, the direction I wanted to take in life and how I planned to get there. The experience was eye-opening in many ways and I have so much to share with you about that experience (come back in December for a 12 blog post special!).

Looking for a trip to take this August bank holiday in our van conversion, we stumbled across 12.5 mile hike (19.5 km) known as St. Michael’s Way. The one day hike takes you from Lelant (North Coast of Cornwall) to Marazion and St. Michael’s Mount (South Coast).
