A sick and twisted history of the Cabbage Patch Kids
<p>There was a series of ‘portraits’ in cloth of people from her hometown. The people didn’t like them. There were also a few dolls of infants — or strange, ancient-looking beings that looked like babies.</p>
<p>The newspaper reviewer thinks they recall the movie <em>2001: A Space Odyssey — </em>the alien baby who hovers over the earth at the end and seems to be the future of the human race in embryonic form.</p>
<p>“Odd as in ‘Odyssey’,” the <a href="https://www.newspapers.com/image/108050663/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">review</a> of Martha’s show was headlined.</p>
<p>It’s funny, since the ‘Starchild’ was actually a doll.</p>
