A Tow Truck Driver Reassured Me That He Was Against Rape
<p>My car wouldn’t start, and it was getting dark outside.</p>
<p>It’s an old car, so I accept these failures to launch quite gracefully. Still, I needed to call a tow truck to get it to a mechanic, because I sure as hell wasn’t going to push it there.</p>
<p>I’m a practical lady, but the prospect of calling the tow guy to drive me to the mechanic with no light of day to give me some peace of mind already started to give me bad vibes.</p>
<p>And naturally, irritation at the fact of having to feel this way. If I was a guy, this wouldn’t cross my mind, or touch my trigger response.</p>
