Why, oh why, did I decide to travel alone?

For all the articles that hype up traveling alone, they don’t tell you what to expect. After years of having others to travel with, how does one transition to traveling alone?

Taiwan was the first trip I ever took solo and I was excited. Finally, I would be free from the dietary constraints of others. No longer would I be forced to walk around museums exhibiting things I couldn’t care less about. Gone were the days of erasing things from my personal “to-do” list to ensure everyone in the group could have fun.
