Catalysing change: Meet the team behind Basecamp Research’s drive to transform biocatalysis
<p>When<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/ahir-pushpanath/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank"> Dr Ahir Pushpanath</a>, who leads innovation in biocatalysis at Basecamp Research, received the experimental data of a set of enzyme sequences sent to a pharmaceutical partner, he knew that his team’s work was set to have a significant impact on the entire biotransformation community. This was the perfect opportunity to submit an application to the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) for their annual Global Awards.</p>
<p>Established in 1994, the IChemE Awards are considered the world’s most prestigious chemical engineering awards — Ahir was absolutely overjoyed when IChemE wrote to him in September saying that Basecamp Research had been selected as a finalist for the “business startup” category.</p>
