The best way to tour Bangkok without the traffic and smog

The Sean Seab Canal is the main canal and cuts the city in half with routes running east and west. I knew about this from a previous visit some 34 years before, but when Marie and I first arrived in Bangkok I had forgotten about the klongs until we endured a couple of smog-infested tuk-tuk rides through the city before I rediscovered the klongs of Bangkok.

There are several types of boat service along the canals but none cost more than 20 Baht (one dollar US is about 35 Baht). Some even offer special tourist service for 200Baht per day with get-on-get-off privileges.
