Hey White People, Stop these annoying (and toxic) behaviors!

I don’t know about you, but my daily work involves continuous interactions with white people, this is by force and not by choice. Not only am I the vocal Xicana boss that my majority white staff never thought they’d ever have, but I’m constantly immersed in meetings where it’s just me and if I’m lucky, a couple of other people of color amidst white space. I can say with a certain degree of confidence that most of the whites I work with and supervise are at least trying to be more conscious of their whiteness and privileges. This is mostly because I’ve tasked them with this otherwise it would be the typical “out of sight, out of mind” or “anti-racism is optional” approach.
