Where’s the tomb of Alexander The Great?

Although there are multiple historical accounts that mention Alexander the Great’s tomb, its precise location is still unknown. Alexander’s body was first interred in Memphis by one of his generals, Ptolemy I Soter, after he died in Babylon. Later, it was moved to Alexandria and interred once more. It is known that several historical figures, including Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, and Augustus, paid a visit to Alexander’s tomb in Alexandria. Its subsequent fate is uncertain; by the fourth or fifth century, it may have been destroyed; since the nineteenth century, more than a hundred official attempts have been made to locate Alexander’s tomb in Alexandria.
