The Mad Woman Syndrome: The Absurdity of Misogyny in 2023
<p>Men love labeling women “Crazy”. It is one of the top 5 titles women are labeled. The other four are — Fat, Ugly, Slut, or a Bitch.</p>
<p>There is no escaping the atrocious tagging culture of the patriarchal society. If a woman is ambitious about her career then she is tagged “selfish” and stigmatized for prioritizing work over family. If a woman is a stay-at-home mom then she is tagged “lazy” or is blamed for having no dreams of her own.</p>
<p>Women who dress modestly might be called “prudish” while those who dress edgier are labeled as “attention-seekers” or “slutty.” If she is thin, she is “not sexy”. If she is curvy or plus-sized, then she is “fat” or “unattractive.” And if a woman fits into neither of these categories, for them a new category has been invented called “mid” meaning basic or average.</p>
<p>But one thing is common in all these women- They are all labeled “Crazy” at one point of time in their life.</p>
