Los Angeles the city
<p>I am in Los Angeles, I am crocheting a hat, and Sawtelle is pronounced sah-tel.</p>
<p>Back in North Carolina, before I came to know or be any of that, I saw three men check three cases of guns at the airport. They said, “Careful those are guns in there” while looking to make sure everyone in line knew there were guns in there. This felt untimely. When I woke up that morning, a man had shot over 30 people in Lewiston, Maine in the night, and I woke up at 3 a.m.</p>
<p>On Friday evening, we went on a hike. Pieter would run, and Claire and I would walk, and we would meet back together at the start, is what we said. The downhill views consisted of miniature valleys and houses and haze, which I have concluded, make up most of the views in Los Angeles. As do birds.</p>
