The 40 -Naughties club!

It’s way past midnight and I’m listening to my friend frantically ramble about how she has a range of emotions over powering her as she panics about turning 40! Me on the other hand I’m reflecting on one question : “Can I look back and be happy?” In about ten months we both will be saying good bye to our “dirty” thirties and entering the our “naughty” forties!

What do we feel? …

Not really sure what to feel at present; often you read everywhere that one should not worry about not being where you want to be or feel ought to be! It’s all well and good to say this, but my friend does worry, ( I’m on the other side of this) . We discussed there were lots of milestones that we hadn’t achieved and believe us we want to , but just hasn’t happened for us. We’re not entirely sure why that is, but even having a positive outlook on things when your mood is low is difficult and would be silly to ignore it!

Celebrating turning 40!

Therefore, before turning 40, we made a sort of bucket list of things we wanted to achieve, almost creating our own milestones in a way. Friends and family often mention that it doesn’t matter turning whatever age but “having no regrets”! I must say we agree on this more!
