My Academic Testimony

Neurodiversity/Neurodivergent: Neurodiversity is an umbrella term for lifelong neurological differences that impact the way individuals may take in, process, and respond to information. Neurodiversity includes, but is not limited to, ADHD, autism, dyscalculia, dyslexia and dyspraxia. Individuals with one or more of these neurological differences are referred to as neurodivergent. Despite the challenges neurodivergent individuals face, they may have valuable strengths such as resilience, hyperfocus, entrepreneurship and possibly a passion for social justice and fairness.

Dyslexia: Difficulties with reading, writing and spelling (plus other challenges) regardless of intelligence level. Areas of strength include but are not limited to, problem-solving, creativity and bigger-picture thinking.
