Strategize and Dominate: Make War — A Nintendo Switch Review

Make War is one of those games in which the amount of fun you have is directly related to the effort put into it. It’s basically a murderous sandbox where you get to pit your invading alien troops against the plentiful human armies. Using your cunning alien wits you’ll need to place your troops, turrets, and other gizmos on the map in the correct locations.

Taking into account the timing and movement of the defending human troops as well as knowing your own unit’s abilities and movements is the key to winning the battle.

Make War surprised me with a fair bit of depth as I progressively unlocked additional maps and alien units. I’m not certain it can make up for the horrible mouse pointer controls or lackluster graphics but it sure tries and there’s at least a nominal amount of fun to be had.

Website
