<p>Kinda disheartening that the year is 2024 yet here we are, trying to assemble a foundational knowledge base to ..exist and navigate realities as women on this planet: The prevalence of sexual assaults <em>vs </em>the dismal state of the path to justice in the aftermath is jarringly disconcerting. Laws and government systems are supposed to help or serve us — or at least properly consider us. No sexual assault victim should HAVE to understand the intricacies of the exact steps and processes — ones we don’t normally have to navigate — let alone in such a vulnerable state.</p>
