Patients shouldn’t have a lot of opioids left over after spine surgery

<p>Saturday, October 29, 2022 was the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/drug_disposal/takeback/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">DEA&rsquo;s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day</a>&nbsp;&mdash; a day designed to encourage people to safely dispose of unused prescription medications to reduce chances of misuse and addiction. But this is an issue worth talking about the rest of the year too.</p> <p>We care deeply about the topic of opioids because they are extremely important for pain control after spine surgery.
