Choose how to spend your time, or be a Time Slave

I’m sitting here looking at that Google Calendar on my screen. I can see that I have the next 4–5 hours free to do whatever I want.

It’s an opportunity. A void of mystery.

I have a strong urge to queue up some YouTube videos and go hog wild. Or I could get ahead on some homework, play some guitar, read, or I could work on an article for Medium, oh wait.

After working for the first half of the day, all I want to do is relax.

Just lean back and chill out.

But how do we truly make a difference in the world when we don’t take our little opportunities with both hands?

So that’s what I’m doing here I guess.

Ultimately, what we decide to do with our time is meaningless for ONE DAY. I mean we’re going to die either way right?

But our whole life is made up of moments like right now, our life is the time in between.

When I was at work, all I wanted to do was be at home. The idea of home is something special. Otherworldly.

That feeling that “I can finally relax and be me myself and I”.

All the little things are in order, everything is right in this little world which I custom-made for myself long ago….

The Sanctuary.

It’s what we do in these safe spaces that ultimately determines the trajectory of your life.

All your paths in life are sitting right in front of you.

What version of myself am I going to be right now?

Am I a musician, a writer, a sim racer, or just hungry?

More often than not, it’s SNACK TIME for this guy.

But it’s important to recognize that these decisions present themselves on a daily basis.
