New country unlocked! I have spent the last couple weeks in Romania and I have a lot of feelings about it. For the majority of this time I have been in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. This city has not agreed with me in the slightest. I had heard a bunch of stuff about the safety of solo female travelers, but experiencing it is a different story. Thankfully I have family in the city which have graciously allowed me to stay with them for free. However, when adventuring alone in the city, it is very evident that it is not the safest place for a solo female traveller, let alone a minority female solo traveller (will talk more about later).
