The Sober Train — 3 weeks
<p>I’ve been trying to get to this point for a while to be honest. My best streak this year was in January when I decided to have two weeks off for New Year. Since then I had been stopping and starting every few days. It was frustrating and I felt like a failure.</p>
<p>One of the reasons I’ve struggled to stop is that I’ve never considered myself an “alcoholic” because in my mind that was someone who drank as soon as they woke up, all day and every day. Apart from on special occasions, such as parties or travel, I only ever drank in the evenings and never every day. So, I defined myself as a moderate drinker who occasionally took it a bit too far.</p>
