Short Blog 1 - From Suburbia to “City Girl”
<p>Growing up in Markham, downtown Toronto was just a GO train ride away, a place where my friends and I could escape our suburban towns, that had seemingly nothing to do. From watching a movie at Yonge & Dundas, to thrifting through Kensington Market, to discovering new eats in Chinatown, I always felt transported into an oasis of shops, restaurants, and interesting architecture. Through these experiences, I grew a fondness and view of hope when thinking about downtown Toronto. As I went through my high school career and started to think about where I would be headed after high school, the city seemed like a natural transition.</p>
