Shooting Street Performance in Paris

I am still so blown away by Paris that even as I sit in my apartment in the 8th arrondissement, I gasp at the glories of the city as I’ve captured them over the years. Yeah, sure, I like my photos, but it’s not that. It’s just — love. Love and wonder. I am nostalgic for all the time I’ve spent here. Nutty. You’re here now, you fool. Reminds me to stand up and get out there, already. I try to improve. To critique my own shots. I’d been to Paris only three times between 1974 and 2003 until, five years later, for various reasons, I started coming annually, two or three weeks at a time. That first “new” time, in 2008, I came with a friend.
