Do You Need to Tell Strangers Your Sexual Orientation?
<p>A couple of years ago, I had a fender-bender. I was going through a stoplight when a guy turned in front of me and I couldn’t stop in time. The front of my car hit the front corner of his SUV. Everyone was okay and the airbag didn’t even deploy.</p>
<p>We both got out and almost immediately, he said, “I’m pretty sure that was my fault.” I didn’t disagree, because it obviously was. He thought I was turning left, but that wasn’t even an option.</p>
<p>We waited for the police to arrive and then pulled into a parking lot to go over what happened, exchange insurance information, etc. As we were standing there waiting for the police officer to finish writing her report, the driver struck up a conversation. I don’t remember everything he said, but he mentioned he was in the Air Force (there was a base nearby), he was divorced, and had kids.</p>
