Romania Is A Sexist Country
<p>Sexism and misogyny against women are a real problem<em> </em>in modern day Romania. As an American woman who has been living in Romania for over 5 years, I can tell you the sexism is so poignant that it’s suffocating.</p>
<p>And that makes me furious! Why? Because no one, inside or outside of Romania, meaningfully addresses this issue even though it affects over half of the population, including young Romanian girls and teens.</p>
<p>A generous portion of men here are openly sexist and misogynistic in a much more noticeable sense than what I have observed in other countries. Not all Romanian men, not the ones <em>I</em> like to associate myself with, but a large proportion of them are.</p>
