<p>My mom has her PhD in inorganic chemistry and Dad was a PhD in organic chemistry. Between them, they had the Periodic Table covered.</p>
<p>Like most parents, they warned me about the dangers of drugs. Unlike most parents, they taught me to appreciate the scientific method as well.</p>
<p>So, I couldn’t just take their word for it now, could I? I had to experiment to prove results. At least that was the thinking process I used at the time.</p>
