Where to go for networking? A guide for job in Urban Planning and Public Sector -Toronto
<p>The good thing about networking for planners and public servants in a major city like Toronto is that there are plenty of organizations that have structured networking events that you can just go to and meet like-minded people. Some of those organizations are:</p>

<p>Most planning students will already be members of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI). <a href="https://events.ontarioplanners.ca/events/eventtypes.aspx" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Their website</a> lists all their events. I made the extra effort of getting in touch with someone in their staff team who was super helpful and gave me a detailed overview of the Planning Industry in Toronto and introduced me to a few industry professionals at an event. OPPI staff is also present at the Annual Planning Alumni Dinner of Waterloo University</p>
