The Season of Treason

<p>Thanksgiving was Mamaw&rsquo;s favorite time of year. Children, now grown, had children who were having children. Families spinning off into separate orbits with careers, sports, and intermittent trips to the E.R.</p> <p>Thanksgiving was the one occasion when the family gathered to feast on recipes that hadn&rsquo;t changed in 40 years.</p> <p>Sweet potato casserole with brown sugar topping placed alongside the vegetables (but tasted more like dessert.)
