Jordan: A Tale of Sand and Salt

<p>Kicking off the adventures of 2024, we set our sights on Jordan, a country I had longed to explore with the desire to immerse myself in a red desert landscape. Upon landing at Amman Airport, we opted to rent a car, given the limited availability of public transport in Jordan. We were travelling to Jordan in the off-season (cold and rainy), although the locals told us it was a dead season since October 7, 2023.</p> <p>Our first destination was the Dead Sea, which is actually a lake. With an approximately 34% salt content (~10 times our oceans), it is denser than us homo sapiens, and hence, we float. Two days prior to the trip, I fell ill and hadn&rsquo;t fully recovered.
