The Scary Side of Salt Lake

<p>Originally, this cave was called &ldquo;Hands and Knees Cave&rdquo; because explorers crawled to get in. Ancient remans were excavated here and it became Utah&rsquo;s first state monument. The archaeological history and human remains date back 11&ndash;12,000 years. Elmer Smith began scientific work in the 1930&rsquo;s and a &ldquo;rock broke from the lip of the entrance, narrowly missing the excavation party.&rdquo; Smith ended the study but the cave earned the name, &ldquo;Danger Cave.&rdquo; Guided tours, are available.
