RSV Vaccine: The Question No One Is Asking

<p>RSV stands for respiratory syncytial virus and given its name is a respiratory virus who can cause serious infections in infants/toddlers and elderly adults. Currently there is no FDA approved treatment for RSV besides symptoms management. Antivirals can be given in high risk scenarios, but nonspecific to RSV. The risk of someone contracting RSV is typically minimal unless you have underlying health conditions such as asthma, COPD, congestive heart failure and others. If you have one of these conditions, you can experience worsening symptoms and higher risk of being hospitalized.
