Roxbury Recollections: Texts From My Cousin

I went to (William Lloyd) Garrison (School) for about 5 minutes.

My teacher- a byotch named Miss Morrison, slapped me for saying the pledge of allegiance with my eyes closed.

After that- I went home and threw a tantrum. Told my folks I was never going back there.

I don’t remember if I ever did- but not long after they enrolled me in the Quaker Friends School in Cambridge.

That turned out to be a wonderful experience.

That sounds like a birthday party that I had! I have photos of a birthday party with Bruno (Giles) and Dooley Claytor. Or maybe I was at yours. I do remember the fire helmets.
