Rocket League’s Biggest Mistake Yet…

A few days ago, I came across an article stating that the video game “Rocket League” is planning to remove item trading from the game in December. Psyonix, the game developer, announced it on Twitter.

I used to play Rocket League all the time, although I was never a big trading fan. However, I don’t think it’s a fair decision for Psyonix (owned by Epic Games btw) to completely get rid of trading.

From experience, I know that a good chunk of the Rocket League community loves trading, so the fact that Psyonix (I blame Epic Games though) removed trading is disappointing, even though it doesn’t affect me personally.

Just by looking at the replies to the tweet I mentioned earlier, it’s pretty clear that most people would agree that it’s a terrible decision by Psyonix.

According to the article I mentioned, Psyonix said, “We’re making this change to align with Epic’s overall approach to game cosmetics and item shop policies, where items aren’t tradable, transferrable, or sellable,”.

After reading that, I could tell this was a greedy and money-hungry decision by Epic Games. Epic Games doesn’t care about the players, they only care about the money.
