Don’t Pass the Rock Episode 1: Montreal

Now I’m as much of a God-fearin’, flag-wavin’, confrontation-avoidin’ patriot as the next guy, but I give credit where credit is due and gosh darn it can those Canadians write a banger. Now sometimes, as was the case in Montreal for our preseason games, they like to show off a bit and do a little half-English, half-French rendition and rub their bilingual capabilities in our faces (we’ll all be speaking Mandarin in ten years anyways I was told in 2013!) But it’s as perfect of an anthem as one can construct — succinct, starts strong, emotional bridge, rounds back for a triumphant big finish.
