Road Tolls Around Boston

My commute is about 25 miles from “North Suburban” Boston to Metro West. I take Route 128 (you might call this I-95) and The Pike (I-90). I drive alone in my little EV while thousands commute into Boston on the underfunded MBTA and Commuter Rail.

Traffic on Boston area highways has creeped back up to, and is sometimes exceeding, its pre-pandemic levels, while ridership on “the T” has languished.

For simplicity, I’ll refer only to Route 128 (I-95), Interstate 93 (I-93), and “The Pike” (I-90). Only the latter currently has tolls (just overhead tolls — they demolished the booths several years ago).
