Retro Review | “Vertigo”: the Master at his absolutely most Masterful
<p>The “One Sheet” above kind of says it all, doesn’t it? In my (not so) humble opinion, Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo” is not only one of his best films (maybe his best) but also one of the very best American, and maybe even one of the very best films of all time.</p>
<p>Whoa, there, Nellie.</p>
<p>Well, its that good. Really. Does it measure up to “The Seven Samurai” or countless other Kurosawa? What about “La Dolce Vita” or other Fellini? Even from the American side, Kubrick, or Ford? OK, this is not a film class. It is Medium which, for all of its higher brow content is not that many steps removed from Facebook or just a plain ole ordinary Blog.</p>
