Retro Review | “Vertigo”: the Master at his absolutely most Masterful

<p>The &ldquo;One Sheet&rdquo; above kind of says it all, doesn&rsquo;t it? In my (not so) humble opinion, Alfred Hitchcock&rsquo;s &ldquo;Vertigo&rdquo; is not only one of his best films (maybe his best) but also one of the very best American, and maybe even one of the very best films of all time.</p> <p>Whoa, there, Nellie.</p> <p>Well, its that good. Really. Does it measure up to &ldquo;The Seven Samurai&rdquo; or countless other Kurosawa? What about &ldquo;La Dolce Vita&rdquo; or other Fellini? Even from the American side, Kubrick, or Ford? OK, this is not a film class.
