<p>In order to stop this cycle and those feelings the focus needs to shift from taking foods out to bringing more foods in. Aka you have to slowly stop restricting your eating. I know this seems scary like you lack control over your food choices, but here’s why. Restricting yourself from certain foods draws attention and increases your desire for them. Think about it, when we are told no it makes us want it even more. So when we finally do get that food the rewarding effects feel so much more significant (Volkow & Wise, 2005).</p>
