Respect Educators’ Health and Professionalism During the COVID-19 Pandemic

<p><em>Although Governor Jay Inslee closed all Washington K-12 schools until April 24th to slow the COVID-19 pandemic, districts across the state are requiring educators to report to closed schools. The following petition calls on Washington leaders to allow educators in these districts to work from home.</em></p> <p><em>To add your name to the petition, go to&nbsp;</em><a href="http://tinyurl.com/RespectWAEducators" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank"><em>tinyurl.com/RespectWAEducators</em></a><em>.</em></p> <p>Update: We reached 6,000 signatures on Sunday, March 15, at which point I sent the petition to Gov. Jay Inslee and WEA President Larry Delaney. That same night, Gov.
