Racism is The Real Reason Why They Want to Replace Kamala Harris
<p>Atthis point, we’ve heard their protests loud and clear: a gaggle of White moderates and liberals within the Democratic party want Kamala Harris, the current Vice President, replaced with someone else before the 2024 election cycle. “Anyone but her,” their think pieces cry in agony as if Harris is dragging down the presidential ticket. In all reality, it was her presence on the campaign, as a Black woman representing two marginalized groups, her witty skills as a debater, her youth and political vibrance that gave Biden the extra oomph he needed to cross the finish line and become America’s 46th President. But now that she’s helped Democrats meet that goal, some are more than willing to push her to the side, an ambition dripping in racism and misogynoir. If Kamala Harris were anything but a Black woman, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.</p>
