<p>Well, it turns out that it’s pretty exciting stuff. Not X-rated, mind you, but pretty engaging nonetheless.</p>
<p>In these times of climate crisis and reduced biodiversity, every little bit we can learn about the organisms that inhabit this planet with us and to whom we ultimately owe our survival is to our advantage.</p>
<p>Algae can be found in almost all of Earth’s aquatic and terrestrial environments. And some of these can be quite harsh and extreme.</p>
<p>We also use lots of algae to make bioproducts including biofuels and bioenergy. And we can use them to help rehabilitate damaged environments.</p>
