Why would the Prabhupada criticise Ramana Maharshi?
<p>Ramana Maharshi is widely regarded as one of the most influential spiritual figures in modern India, known for his teachings on Advaita Vedanta, which teaches the nondual nature of reality and the importance of seeking self-realisation through the direct experience of one’s true nature as pure consciousness.</p>
<p>Many will already know of his teachings on self-inquiry and his emphasis on achieving self-realisation through practicing self-inquiry. Despite his legacy, there have been some claims made by Prabhupada, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), that Ramana “preached” what he calls a “nonsense philosophy”.
