Racial Synthesis: A Personal Vision on Harmony
<p>The topic of “racial synthesis” (a new but apt term I just coined) is very important to me as a young Christian black intellectual living in rural America at Taylor University–a predominantly white institution. For my experience in black America, I have had a unique childhood: raised in a married, two-parent home; exposed to Christ and the church at age 4; homeschooled for over 10 years; and taught publicly part-time for 4 years. During my formative years I always sought to connect good people with other people who complemented their personalities and strengths. I wanted to see a world where everyone was connected despite their struggles, pain, and differences. I still do.</p>
