Down The Rabbit Hole: “I Can See Your Voice”

Maybe you might’ve surmised from reading my Medium piece praising <a href="https://medium.com/critical-rice-theory-side-dishes/master-of-none-1d08b988c3ac" rel="noopener">Jacks-of-all-Trades</a> that I dive into a lot of things. Whatever the reasons, this has been my <a href="https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/modus%20operandi" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">modus operandi</a> my entire life, though the very definition of that term seems to argue against my tendency toward randomness. I’ve watched many a TV game show, from the old school classic big-three-network games like “<a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/password-first-game-show-emmy-1235521233/amp/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Password</a>,” “<a href="https://deadline.com/2020/10/tom-kennedy-dies-game-show-host-for-name-that-tune-was-93-1234595495/amp/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Name That Tune</a>,” “<a href="https://www.news10.com/news/the-original-host-of-jeopardy-had-a-big-problem-with-how-the-game-is-currently-played/amp/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Jeopardy</a>,” and “<a href="https://m.imdb.com/title/tt012970" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">The Newlywed Game</a>;” to more modern iterations like “<a href="https://www.gameshownetwork.com/chain-reaction" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Chain Reaction</a>,” “<a href="https://millionaire.fandom.com/wiki/Regis_Philbin" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Who Wants To Be a Millionaire</a>,” and “<a href="https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0375466/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Takeshi’s Castle</a>.” I don’t watch a lot of network TV these days (including game shows) but occasionally a novel concept will grab my attention.
