Re-Starting in QTAPI Organizing Spaces
<p>As I wrap up 2023, I acknowledge that I will no longer be a co-chair of <a href="https://gapimny.org/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">GAPIMNY</a> in 2024. When I share this news, some folks become concerned about what this means for the organization. I have to clarify that I have had a lifelong tendency of organizing Asian people, and as such, as long as I’m alive, I will be contributing to connecting with other Asian people and connecting them to resources, education, and other people.</p>
<p>I haven’t felt like I’ve been particularly effective in my organizing in 2023, and I believe a change in my role and place in the larger social justice ecosystem will allow me to better serve people. In particular, I have not felt like I have effectively serviced other trans and nonbinary members of my community while being involved in this organization.</p>
