What is the Psychonaut Community’s Relationship with Mental Health?

The human relationship with psychedelics is unknown to the general mainstream consciousness but behind the veil of what we deem as a dangerous ‘Class A’ substance is a rich, fascinating, and spiritual history where humans and psychedelic substances have intimately intertwined and reciprocally changed the directionality of each other’s species.

This blog will explore this extraordinarily diverse history between humans and psychedelics; from its first use in the Chauvin communities of Peru in 2500 BC to the use of the psychedelic drink Soma in early Hindu communities. While exploring this history, I will be also referring back to my main question about the relationship between mental health and psychedelics to highlight a clear path of how the relationship has changed and why it has changed.
