Project Postcard Case Study
<p>A postcard that was created using personal photographs and Adobe Photoshop.</p>
<p>This is a project I created by myself for my NMIX class in the Summer of 2023. The goal of this project was to utilize the software Adobe Illustrator to create a professional, vintage-looking postcard that included a personal photograph.</p>
<p>I believe this project serves a purpose to a user because the design opportunities are not only limited to postcards. Photoshop is an excellent tool that thousands of people from multiple occupations use every day. Being well-versed in this software, as well as understanding color patterns and lighting will help any designer become more proficient in their field. No matter what it may be.</p>
<p>The first steps I took to create this project were I first needed a picture to use as my background. I wanted something that had a lot of details, but at the same time wouldn’t be the center of the viewer's attention. I ultimately decided on this picture that I took from a street corner in downtown Athens.</p>
