Processing/Equipment Engineer to Software RD

People seek change while they do not feel good/right about their current state. Maybe it’s good enough for their others, but definitely not for the changing ones.
While I was in University, my major is Biomedical Engineer and Environmental Science. That major seems kind of fancy right? Well, I did not like it, or I can say that, I do not dislike it, either. I have 0 feelings about it, no passion, no interests and nor thirsty for the domain knowledge in there. But I still make it to get the degree. Back in that time, I just think I can just be a normal any kind of engineers in any companies that pay me well.

Since I have been away from my hometown for 4 years and barely spent time with my family, I chose my first job in my hometown in order to have more family time. That’s a processing/Equipment job at a panel factory. As a newbie to the industry, I really tried my best to learn and paid a lot of time, I even took notes and did research after work. Then, we got to build a new factory, and I was assigned to be one of the engineers to design the pipeline configuration with AutoCad, and discussed the framework of the equipment with the provider vendor. Back in that time, the seniors always worked late and did not send the overtime application to get paid. I had seen ones do the application but got rebuked in the meeting in some days.
Alright, let’s get back to the new factory setup. At the day the equipment sent by the vendors, we worked like 20 hours, from 8 a.m. till the next day 4 a.m. At that point, I expected some compensation, but all the manager told us is to get back on time for the work. That’s exactly the moment that I know I got to leave.

Visit Now
